70mai launched its A900 series on September 21, 2026, with a PR Newswire release out of Hong Kong. The lineup has two models: the flagship A900 Ultra ($299.99 list, pre-order with shipping from November 1) and the base A900, which lists at $199.99 on the 70mai Official Store and is already on Amazon.com under ASIN B0HF3H4W82. This first look covers the A900, because it is the one you can buy today.

The number that stands out is 4K in the rear at a $199.99 list price. Every other camera in BaniCar's dash cam list tops out at 2K behind the car. 70mai pairs that with f/1.55 lenses (brighter on paper than the F1.8 on the VIOFO), Dual HDR, buffered emergency recording that keeps up to 190 seconds before an impact, built-in 5-system GPS with ADAS alerts, and Wi-Fi 6 at up to 25 MB/s.
The A900 is also 4G-ready. 70mai says the hardware supports 4G Cloud+ 2.0 (remote live view, alerts, album access, hotspot sharing) with the separate 4G hardwire kit, and that full features arrive through a later OTA update.
Who should care
- Budget buyers who want the rear plate readable. 1080p rear cameras struggle with plates at distance; 4K rear at this price is new territory.
- Rideshare and delivery drivers. The 4G upgrade path gives you remote view later without replacing the camera.
- Hot-state commuters. A supercapacitor rated to 158°F (70°C) is the top heat rating in our dash cam list.
Who should look at the Ultra or the VIOFO instead: anyone who wants a named Sony STARVIS 2 sensor. 70mai reserves the dual IMX678 setup for the $299.99 A900 Ultra, and does not name the sensor in the base A900 (one launch report lists GC8613 sensors, which 70mai has not confirmed on its spec page).
What we can't tell you yet
- Real night performance. Pixel count and a bright aperture are not the same as a good sensor. Without a named sensor we cannot compare the A900's low-light footage on paper, and nobody has published a long-term test yet.
- Warranty term. 70mai's product page does not state one. Check the Amazon listing.
- 4G timing. The release says full 4G Cloud+ 2.0 features come via OTA; no date is given.
- Durability. The unit launched four weeks ago. BaniCar does not handle products; our score is calculated from the published specs.
