Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 19, 2026
BaniCar (banicar.com) is a static website that scores car accessories sold on Amazon.com. There are no user accounts, no comment forms and no newsletter. This page explains what little data moves when you visit, who handles it, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
Traffic data. BaniCar is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like every web host, Cloudflare receives the technical details needed to serve a page: your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring site and the time of the request. Cloudflare keeps this in aggregated, short-lived server logs under its own privacy policy.
Cloudflare Web Analytics. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device and does not track you across sites.
Google Analytics 4. We may also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how readers move between pages and how often a "View on Amazon" link is clicked. When it is enabled, Google sets first-party cookies (for example _ga) that assign a random identifier to your browser. We do not send Google your name, email or any other information that identifies you, and we have not enabled Google Signals or advertising features. Google describes its handling of this data at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Email. If you write to [email protected], we keep your message for as long as needed to reply and to keep a record of any correction we made. We do not add your address to any list.
What we don't collect
We don't ask for your name, email, location, vehicle or anything else. We don't run surveys, contests or giveaways. We don't buy data about visitors from anyone.
Cookies
BaniCar itself sets no cookies. Your dark-mode preference is stored in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device. The only cookies you may see come from Google Analytics 4 (described above) and from Amazon after you click through to a listing.
Amazon affiliate links
As an Amazon Associate, BaniCar earns from qualifying purchases. "View on Amazon" and "Buy on Amazon" links carry an affiliate tag. When you click one, you leave BaniCar and Amazon's own privacy notice applies. Amazon sets a cookie so it can credit a purchase to BaniCar; Amazon tells us only aggregate order counts and commissions, never who bought what. Full details: Affiliate Disclosure.
Embedded YouTube videos
Some product pages embed a video from the manufacturer's YouTube channel, and video pages embed videos from our channel. Embeds load from YouTube only when you press play, and YouTube may set cookies at that point under Google's privacy policy.
We never sell your data
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers named above (Cloudflare, Google, Amazon), each of which processes it to run its own service. If you are a California resident: we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA/CPRA.
Children
BaniCar is written for adult drivers and shoppers. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
Your choices
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works fully without them.
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on linked above.
- Email [email protected] to ask what, if anything, we hold about you, or to have it deleted. We answer within three business days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top moves and the change is noted here. We won't apply a change retroactively to data already collected.
