Verdict
The safe default for sedans, crossovers and gas trucks that live in the glovebox. If you drive a diesel or want to charge a laptop off it, move up to the GBX series.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use the GB40 on a frozen battery?
No. NOCO's user guide warns: do not attempt to jump start a damaged or frozen battery, and use only on 12 V lead-acid batteries.
What happens if I hook the clamps up backwards?
The red Error LED lights and no power flows; reverse the clamps to clear it. Manual override mode disables that protection, so NOCO says to use it with extreme care and only on 12 V lead-acid batteries.
Will it start my F-150?
NOCO rates it for gas engines up to 6.0 L, which covers every gas F-150. Diesel is limited to 3.0 L, so a Power Stroke is out — look at the GBX155.
